This piece is inspired by a picture of the eldest sister of the artist and her baby girl.
A lot of tenderness and light is emerging from the scene, carrying the energy of motherhood and unconditional and limitness love. It is dedicated to every mothers, especially the one of the artist, who is with her beyond this world.

The artist applied sand mixed with gesso to create an expressive texture in the foreground of the painting. She then used various layers of glazing, thin layers of painting and medium, to render a feeling of dream, delicacy and depth. It is also inspired by J.M. Turner’s work.
